Most of us have been hugged at some point in our lives and most of us have seen a juggler. By now you might have deduced that a “huggle” is when you get a hug by a juggler. While that is correct, there is more going on than meets the eye.
A recent “huggle” event at Union Square in NYC was organized to spread joy and happiness to anyone in need. Forget the stereotypes of salty New Yorkers that are too cranky and busy for a little love and happiness and embrace the concept of New Yorkers doing good for one another, just like Jen Slaw and her team of hugglers.
Slaw has been juggling since she was 11 years old, and juggling for the past 25 years. (Huggling for past 3 years – not sure if you wanted years juggling or huggling!) Her huggling events create special moments for the unsuspecting “hugglees” but there is also a bigger picture that Jen Slaw has in mind.
Her non-profit organizations mission is to engage, inspire and emotionally heal ill and disadvantaged children through juggling workshops and entertaining performance art shows.

Our mission is to engage, inspire and emotionally heal ill and disadvantaged children through juggling workshops and entertaining performance art shows.
Juggling Life, works to engage, inspire and emotionally heal ill and disadvantaged children through interactive juggling workshops and performances. Juggling Life believes that the small act of learning to juggle can translate into the powerful ability to see that something once thought to be impossible is achievable.
Slaw is the executive director of this young charity that needs support to continue to grow and spread joy, happiness, hope and possibility to youth in need. (www.JugglingLifeInc.org)
So next time you are having a bad day go find a huggling event and things will turn around rather quickly.
