“We are very excited to kick-off this year’s PhotoPlus Expo by presenting two events, one that offers a preview of future technologies while the other honors the most innovative products and industry influencers from the past year,” explains Lauren Wendle, Vice President and Group Publisher of Photo+.  “Test Drive gives exhibitors an opportunity to unveil their newest imaging solutions to hundreds of photographers the night before the show opens.  The Lucie Technical award is one of the industry’s highest honors, recognizing excellence in product design and individual contributions in photography — it is an appropriate start for PhotoPlus Expo, a show that is dedicated to creativity, innovation and education.”

During Test Drive, attendees will be able to see the latest photography gear and explore the newest software solutions and photographic services from dozens of PhotoPlus exhibitors before the Expo officially opens.

The second annual Lucie Technical Awards, presented by the Lucie Foundation, honors both large and small companies, as well as those individuals who have advanced the photographic industry over the past year.  Awards will acknowledge advancements in several technologies including cameras, lenses, lighting and accessories, printers, software, and more. In addition, The Lucie Technical Awards will be presented to individuals who have had the greatest influence and impact in the photographic industry over the past year.
