[dropcap]P[/dropcap]hotographers from around the world look forward to the end of October.  Is it because October 31st is Halloween and one can find so many great photo opportunities?  Or can it be the beginning of the PDN PhotoPlus Show in New York?  Well both are wonderful opportunities for photographers of all skill levels, but the one we love the most is covering the PhotoPlus show at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City.

International Press Association has covered the show for the past 15 years and since the launch of IMPress Magazine five years ago we have even more reasons to cover this great show.  As many photographers know, the field of photography has changed and evolved.  No longer is a photographer only shooting still photos, he is now shooting HD video as well

As we saw at the past three years covering PhotoPlus the photo equipment has evolved at an amazing pace.  Now film studios and videographers from around the globe are filming HD video with the most modern and technologically advanced DSLR cameras.  At IPA and IMPress we have done the same and what was a show review with a nice slide show, we are now producing HD commercial quality videos of these shows. You can see last years show and videos here.

This year we were especially excited to interview four companies that once again have become our Best of Show for their contributions to our industry.  Datacolor, Tamron, Nikon and Rotolight.

Our staff photographer Andrew Foord shoots with his new Nikon D810 and you will see some of his photos in this article and in our videos.  I am still shooting with my Nikon D7100 and as you can see from our videos,, it still does a great job of capturing the action. That said I am ready to jump up to the next step which would be the Nikon D750 so watch for future reviews and videos I will be posting in the months to come.

Our crew this year consisted of a team of three.  Andy Peeke our IPA and IMPress correspondent was with us to bring these videos to life. Everyone loves to work with Andy and he makes each project so much easier to shoot.  New to our team and to IPA and IMPress is Andrew Foord who hails from New Jersey is Andy Peek’s best bud and is an exceptionally talented professional photographer and portrait artist.
